Hi,

This month was an emotional rollercoaster for me. On one hand, I’ve never been so proud of the creative work that I’ve been putting out. I made 4 videos this month! Yet the videos aren’t getting much traction. I’m constantly trying to remind myself that it’s okay. Failure, for me, is letting that feeling discourage myself from making new things. Put your head down and give yourself a decade.

Remember how I was going to run the Detroit marathon? That never happened because I hurt my knee. That was a whole bunch of no fun. I guess there’s always next year.

Today’s Halloween. Well maybe not if you’re reading this later on, but at sometime in high school I really hated on this holiday. I have done a 180 degree turn. I love Halloween and am bummed out that I don’t have any reasons to dress up! Costumes are a great way to break the monotony of everyday life.

Anyways, tomorrow morning I’m off to North Carolina to spend time with family and enjoy one last bit of warm weather before winter. Stay spooky y’all and we’ll talk again when there’s snow on the ground! -andrew

I’ve been reading a lot recently, but not enough fiction! Some of my favorites are: How to Get Filthy Rich in Rising Asia, Ready Player One & City of Thieves. I’d love to hear yours.

• Sore Throat by zack villere: Love this song, the music video is even better.

• When I Needed You by Carly Rae Jepsen: I’d forgotten Carly Rae Jepsen existed until I heard her on the Song Exploder podcast.

• Shawty by Remi Wolf: I was in love within the first 15 seconds of hearing this.

• My True Story by The Jive Five: My grandpa sent me this song. I used to hate all “oldies” music but I’m developing an ear for it.

• Here’s a Spotify playlist with all the songs. If you haven’t realized by now I try to include a large variety of sounds here. Appreciate something new!
