Hi there,

Remember how I said that I’d try to make each newsletter themed?

Yeah, well, I'm gonna stop doing that for now. Instead, I’m just going to continue on sending a bunch of random links to things. I really want to get back on the monthly schedule of sending them the first day of each month. With that being said, if you don’t have an email in your inbox on March 1, please shame me.

It’s weird that I’m only a few months away from graduating college and moving onto the real world. I just really hope that I haven’t peaked yet because if it’s all downhill from here that would be sad. I’m also 22 now, but I still feel that I’m 13ish.

Oddly enough, I’m sitting in class right now and our lecture is about how to send a good email newsletter. I’m halfway paying attention but also working on my this newsletter that you’re reading. How do you think I’m doing?

Not trying to throw shade towards my roommates but I wish I lived in a house like this. Talking about the Dow Jones or Microsoft Excel can get pretty boring. All jokes aside, this is the perfect example of what a multimedia project should be. Now I want to buy a shitty house and make things with my friends!

a cool app: Waking Up

If you recall a few months back, I recommended a meditation app called Oak. Well, I have more or less stopped using Oak, not because I disliked it, but because I found something seems like the next logical step in my practice of meditation. It’s funny because I feel like such a tool saying “practice of meditation” but seriously, this new app called Waking Up is slowing turning me into the Buddha. Not really, but it’s making me feel more like me. Does that make any sense?

Anyways, the app gives you a 10-day free trial and then you have to pay. When I was confronted with this ultimatum, I decided against it. The $60 would be much better spent on something else. A few days I caught myself… Was I really going to save $60 but miss out on something that would make every second of my day more tolerable? More importantly, make me into a person who would be more bearable to be around for other people? I’m a month removed from that decision and I might even be less of an asshole than I used to be. And I guess what I’m really trying to say is that if you don’t try out this app out then you’re probably an asshole too.

Bill Murray Stories: Life Lessons Learned From a Mythical Man

If you know me, you know that I really struggle to sit down to watch a full length movie. My genre of entertainment is 2 minute YouTube videos that suit my squirrel-like attention span. But, I forced myself to watch this documentary that my dad recommended to me. It’s on Netflix and while it’s not the best shot or edited film, the overarching story is tremendous. I’m not going to try to describe Bill Murray other than saying that he is living his best fucking life. Now I ask myself, “What would Bill Murray do?”
